IFS ESG Check

Climate change is a concern for individuals and companies of all sizes. However, finding the right way to address environmental impacts and sustainability topics, in general, is not an easy path. It can be especially complex for small and medium-sized companies with limited resources to organize and define a clear strategy and management system.

In response to this issue, IFS, a well-known GFSI standard owner, has introduced a certification to help businesses integrate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles into their operations. The IFS ESG Check scheme primarily targets small to medium-sized enterprises, guiding them in implementing a sustainability management system.

Sustainability management system is defined as a „systemic approach that provides guidelines for an organization to evaluate, manage and improve sustainability.”

How We Can Help You

  • Gap Analysis: Following the requirements of the certification scheme, we conduct a gap assessment. This assessment is based on your documentation and interviews across your organization. It can be performed for the ESG module alone or in combination with the carbon footprint module.
  • In collaboration with the management team, we will assist in establishing short-term objectives (quick wins for achieving certification) and long-term goals that align with your company’s long-term strategy.
  • Implementation of the work plan, along with a steering team, and if necessary, a carbon footprint study (including scope 1 and scope 2).
  • Third-Party Audit: We participate in external audits and provide support in managing documentation.
  • Further Execution of the Work Plan: We continue to execute the work plan and offer customized support for the long term.
