Mérieux NutriSciences Participates in the Convention of Companies for the Climate

From an Extractive Economy to a Regenerative Economy

From November 2024 to November 2025, Mérieux NutriSciences France will actively participate in the CEC (‘Convention des Entreprises pour le Climat’, or Convention of Companies for the Climate). This collective initiative aims to:

Make the transition from an extractive economy to a regenerative economy compelling by 2030.

Mérieux NutriSciences will be part of a 1-year Agri-Food program (‘CEC Agri & Agro’) with the ambition of bringing together 80 leaders representing the Food ecosystem from farmers to distributors. Along with these companies, our French team will work on rethinking business models within the framework of planetary boundaries.

The Program’s Objective

The CEC Agri & Agro program’s objective is to bring together all forms of agriculture, their value chains, and their ecosystems around a common vision. This will accelerate their transitions and those of the territories towards a regenerative model.

Deliverables at the End of the Program

• ROADMAPS: Regenerative, concrete, and ambitious roadmaps produced by each participant.
• COOPERATIVE PROJECTS: Operational implementation on the ground through collectives, new regenerative production, transformation, distribution, and consumption models.
• COLLECTIVE ADVOCACY: Promoting new agricultural models and sectors with levers to accelerate the transition.
• ALUMNI COMMUNITY: Ensuring the continuity of commitments.
