Requirements, Safety and Compliance Towards 2030

The PPWR Regulation — EU 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste — introduces a new European framework applicable to all packaging placed on the EU market. For cosmetics companies, complying with the new Regulation means progressively adapting packaging design and composition, as well as the documentation required to demonstrate compliance. Recyclability, recycled plastic content, weight and volume minimisation, empty space, labelling, traceability and environmental claims are among the aspects set to influence decisions by brands, manufacturers and packaging suppliers.
