These substances likely originate from printing inks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Complex Composition<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MOHs consist of\u00a0<strong>thousands of different chemical compounds<\/strong>, making their analysis and differentiation challenging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Evolving Regulations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;<strong>EU&nbsp;<\/strong>has taken steps to monitor and regulate MOH in food and food contact materials, but a&nbsp;<strong>common regulation is still pending<\/strong>. The EU has issued recommendations on MOAH levels in food and infant food early 2022.
