Across the globe, meals have largely become an “international affair” for consumers. During a typical dinner, a family on either side of the equator can dine on beef from Argentina, lettuce from Columbia, strawberries from Mexico, mushrooms from China, cheese from New Zealand, and spices from Turkey.
In today's global marketplace, consumers are demanding assurances they are purchasing safe and quality food products. Wanting the same assurances, a growing number of retailers and manufacturers are requiring suppliers to demonstrate their commitment to safe and quality products through highly recognized global certification schemes, such as those that are benchmarked and recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
Mérieux NutriSciences Certification LLC is an independent subsidiary of Mérieux NutriSciences established to provide clients with certification to many internationally recognized schemes. We are accredited through the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ). - Audit reports are reviewed by a technical reviewer who was not part of the original audit team
- Certification decisions are made by an individual independent of the audit process
- An advisory council comprised of industry stakeholders has been formed and is available to review any conflicts and risks
