The Chain of custody is a document of fundamental importance to correctly manage samples information during sampling, transport, analysis and reporting. Asbestos and Artificial fibers
Thanks to accredited analytical techniques such as PCM (phase contrast microscopy) and SEM (scanning electron microscope), Mérieux NutriSciences samples and analyzes all the pollutants that can be typically detectable at the workplace, artificial mineral fibers and asbestos.
Mérieux NutriSciences is able to sample and analyze the pollutants typically detectable at the workplace as contaminated organic (aromatic organic and chlorinated substances, etc.) and inorganic (metals, acids, ammonia, aldehydes, etc.) contaminants.
Soil gas sampling is usually carried out in contaminated areas or areas that can be potentially contaminated with dangerous substances vapors. The measurement generally aims at determining the concentration of compounds that will be used for the analysis of carcinogenic type risk, toxic, genotoxic any receptors. Among the different substances that can be detected by the Canister, there are organic compounds (EPA TO 15) and MADEP hydrocarbon fractions (MADEP APH REV. 1 2009).
The sampling of volatile organic/inorganic compounds is performed with flux chambers and it gives an estimate of the quantity of pollutant emitted from contaminated soil or contaminated fluids, depending on the unit of surface and unit of time. The sampling occurs through a cylindrical chamber open on one side and with a controlled environment. Inert and pure gases are introduced in a determined point and at a constant flow rate while the sampling of the required pollutant are performed through a second line; two further openings discharge the internal overpressure and control the internal microclimatic conditions of the support. The sampling of organic and inorganic compounds of different nature can be carried out.
