Operating within Australia, Freshcare was established in 2000 out of a need to service Australian growers with a practical and low-cost certification. Freshcare is industry-owned, and not-for-profit; providing a practical approach to Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQ Program).
Freshcare is the largest horticultural standard within Australia and offers packers/warehouse distribution centers and broker/agents the ability to be part of the Certified Supply Chain through the Freshcare Supply Chain Standard. Freshcare continues to be a market leader in the region delivering farm assurance standards to growers throughout the area.
Freshcare brings together not only food safety standards, but also offers sustainability and environmental certifications. These optional add ons allow demonstration of specifically-designed, outcome-based standards.
