Residue Study for Agrochemicals
Conducting residue studies for agrochemicals is of the utmost to ensure consumption of the food commodity is safe and would not be a concern to human and animal health.
In Malaysia, residue data is required for the registration of pesticides in Malaysia (GP4/2012 Guidelines on Residue Data Requirements for Pesticide Registration). For major crops, at least one local trial is required to assess the safe use of agrochemicals.
In Merieux NutriSciences, our laboratory is both ISO 17025 accredited and GLP compliant. Our team of experts can offer a full residue study that covers the residue field trials and analysis of pesticide residue in food commodities. This is another pesticide and biocidal service that we can offer.
Through the study, we will be able to establish suitable maximum residue limits (MRLs) and provide recommendations for suitable Pre-harvest intervals (PHI).
Below are some common and major groups of commodities that we are able to cover:
- Paddy (e.g. paddy straw, polished grains, unpolished grains)
- Oil palm (e.g. kernel cake, kernel oil, mesocarp cake, mesocarp oil, fruitlets)
- Vegetables (e.g. Leafy/bulb vegetables such as sawi, cabbage, brinjal, chilli)
- Fruits (e.g. durian, banana)
