In Malaysia, Mérieux NutriSciences’ facilities are located in Penang, Selangor and Johor and offer SAMM-accredited microbiology and chemistry laboratory services that operate seven days a week, 365 days per year. We have a unique mix of capabilities that provides our clients with a complete safety and quality offer, allowing a strong partnership with businesses to ensure the safety and quality of their products in many stages along the product lifecycle.

Our History in Malaysia

1 January 2003

Acumen Scientific Sdn. Bhd. starts trading in Malaysia

In 2003, our laboratory (in Perai, Penang) was accredited under MS ISO/IEC 17025 from the Department of Standards Malaysia (SAMM Certificate No. 253).

1 January 2009

Acumen Scientific Grows as a Leader Analytical Provider in Malaysia

In 2009, Acumen Scientific Sdn. Bhd. becomes a leader in food, microbiology, and chemical testing in Malaysia and a global solution provider offering an extensive range of analytical testing and monitoring services.
The company provides prompt and efficient services for the enforcement of the Food Act and Regulations as well as Health Certificates application which is recognised by the Ministry of Health in Malaysia.

1 January 2010

Acumen Scientific is Accredited under the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)

In 2010, our laboratory was accredited under the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) / (Certificate No. GLP 001).
We were the first lab in Malaysia to comply with OECD GLP for pesticide products and industrial chemicals study.

1 January 2011

Our laboratory is Accredited under MS ISO/IEC 17025 from the Department of Standards Malaysia

In 2011, 0ur laboratory (in Subang Jaya, Selangor) was accredited under MS ISO/IEC 17025 from the Department of Standards Malaysia (SAMM Certificate No. 541).
