{"id":267659,"date":"2026-03-26T08:40:17","date_gmt":"2026-03-26T08:40:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.merieuxnutrisciences.com\/?p=267659"},"modified":"2026-03-26T08:42:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T08:42:08","slug":"pfas-i-punti-chiave-del-monitoraggio-indoor-e-outdoor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.merieuxnutrisciences.com\/it\/pfas-i-punti-chiave-del-monitoraggio-indoor-e-outdoor\/","title":{"rendered":"La presenza dei PFAS nell\u2019aria atmosferica"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember371\">Le sostanze per- e polifluoroalchiliche (PFAS) sono ormai riconosciute a livello globale come <strong>inquinanti ubiquitari e potenzialmente pericolosi per la salute umana e l\u2019ambiente<\/strong>, a causa della loro persistenza chimica, bioaccumulazione e diffusione nelle matrici ambientali e negli organismi viventi. Numerosi studi collegano l\u2019esposizione ai PFAS a una vasta gamma di effetti avversi, tra cui disturbi metabolici, immunotossicit\u00e0 e cancro (in particolare per PFOA e PFOS) \u2013 tanto che l\u2019International Agency for Research on Cancer ha classificato il <strong>PFOA come cancerogeno per l\u2019uomo (Gruppo 1)<\/strong> e il <strong>PFOS come possibile cancerogeno (Gruppo 2B)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember372\">Nonostante il progressivo sviluppo di normative che limitano l\u2019uso e l\u2019emissione di PFAS nei prodotti e nell\u2019ambiente (restrizioni REACH e misure di monitoraggio ambientale nell\u2019UE e in altri paesi), <strong>la via inalatoria rimane una rotta di esposizione ancora sottocaratterizzata<\/strong> rispetto alle pi\u00f9 studiate (come quella ingestiva, per esempio).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember373\">Una revisione sistematica delle <strong>misurazioni globali di PFAS nel particolato atmosferico<\/strong> (condotta da Faust et al., 2022) evidenzia come, sin dai primi anni 2000, questi composti siano stati rilevati in numerosi contesti geografici e climatici; le evidenze documentate coprono Nord America, Europa e Cina, con rilevamenti sia in aree urbane sia in zone remote, a conferma della capacit\u00e0 dei PFAS di trasporto atmosferico a lunga distanza. <strong>Questo dato \u00e8 particolarmente rilevante: l\u2019aria rappresenta non solo una via di esposizione locale, ma anche un mezzo di redistribuzione globale.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember374\">Le concentrazioni pi\u00f9 elevate si osservano tipicamente in prossimit\u00e0 di:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>impianti di produzione di fluoropolimeri,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>siti di trattamento rifiuti,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>aree industriali specializzate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember376\">Studi di modellizzazione hanno inoltre dimostrato che le emissioni industriali possono contribuire alla deposizione regionale, e che l\u2019atmosfera rappresenta un <strong>vettore di dispersione e ricaduta su suolo e acque superficiali<\/strong>. Sono state anche riscontrate correlazioni significative tra concentrazioni di PFAS e temperatura ambientale, suggerendo che la volatilizzazione e il comportamento atmosferico possano essere influenzati dalle condizioni climatiche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ember377\">PFAS: i punti chiave del monitoraggio indoor e outdoor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember378\">La mancanza di procedure armonizzate rende sfidante la valutazione del rischio connesso a questa via di esposizione; individuare un metodo per l\u2019analisi di PFAS nell\u2019aria ambiente consente di:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember379\">\ud83d\udd39 <strong>Rispondere a un bisogno emergente<\/strong>: soddisfare la domanda di dati affidabili su una via di esposizione ancora poco caratterizzata come l\u2019aria ambiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember380\">\ud83d\udd39 <strong>Allinearsi con i trend regolatori globali<\/strong>: supportare la compliance futura in scenari regolatori sempre pi\u00f9 stringenti &#8211; la crescente pressione normativa sui PFAS in particolare in Europa e Stati Uniti suggerisce che in futuro potrebbero emergere requisiti di monitoraggio, gestione delle emissioni e, potenzialmente, valori di riferimento per l\u2019aria come gi\u00e0 avvenuto per acqua e suolo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember381\">\ud83d\udd39 <strong>Supporto alle decisioni aziendali<\/strong>: i dati generati possono essere utilizzati per <strong>valutazioni di rischio, valutazioni di sicurezza sul lavoro, e piani di gestione ambientale<\/strong>. In un contesto regolatorio in rapido sviluppo (REACH in UE, iniziative EPA negli USA), la caratterizzazione dell\u2019esposizione inalatoria rappresenta una <strong>frontiera tecnica e strategica<\/strong> per la valutazione del rischio ambientale e sanitario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ember382\">Il metodo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/chelab-laboratories\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">M\u00e9rieux NutriSciences &#8211; Italia<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember383\">Nel nostro laboratorio presentiamo <strong>due approcci di campionamento attivo dell\u2019aria ambiente validati internamente<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Metodo a basso volume<\/strong>, ideale per il monitoraggio personale e la caratterizzazione dell\u2019esposizione individuale in ambiti occupazionali.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Metodo ad alto volume<\/strong>, progettato per campionare grandi volumi d\u2019aria, con bassi limiti di quantificazione e analisi di composti a bassissime concentrazioni.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"ember385\">Entrambi gli approcci consentono la determinazione di <strong>PFOA, PFOS, PFHxS, HFPO-DA (Gen-X)<\/strong> e altri PFAS medio- e lungocatenari con recuperi superiori al <strong>70%<\/strong>, garantendo robustezza analitica e comparabilit\u00e0 dei risultati. Queste metodologie, attraverso dataset affidabili e replicabili, rappresentano un supporto concreto alle attivit\u00e0 di <strong>valutazione del rischio, definizione di strategie di mitigazione e
