Mérieux NutriSciences opens new food testing laboratory in Lima, Peru

Mérieux NutriSciences is proud to announce the inauguration of its new state-of-the-art laboratory in Lima, Peru on the 24th November 2021. This new laboratory in Lima reinforces Mérieux NutriSciences’ footprint in the country.

Peru is one of the main agro-exporting countries in the world, with a great variety of agricultural products that need to comply with the MRLs (maximum residue limits) of export destinations countries and of the local market. To attend to this agroindustry demand, Mérieux NutriSciences reaffirms its commitment to food safety while contributing to consumers’ health worldwide, with the expansion and implementation of the largest and most modern laboratory in Peru focused on food.

This new lab, located at Calle San Fernando, 196-198, Surquillo, Lima, has 1,350m2 and is equipped with new state-of-the-art equipment to perform a comprehensive range of microbiological and chemical analyses, covering a very wide spectrum of agricultural and industrial food products.

To provide the highest level of service with quick and reliable results to drive business decisions of our customers, this facility was built in accordance with the Mérieux NutriSciences global quality system and is part of a network of more than 100 laboratories worldwide.
