Mérieux NutriSciences acquires Babil Laboratory in Türkiye and enters the pesticides residue testing market

We are pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition of Babil, a laboratory aimed at providing pesticide analytical services in Türkiye with a capacity of over 600 active substance tests. This acquisition strategically completes our offering and presence in Türkiye.

Founded in 2021, Babil Laboratory is based in Alaşehir (West of Türkiye) and fully accredited under the name: MXNS Türkiye Alaşehir Laboratory. This new lab will be testing pesticides residues, PA/TA as well as heavy metals. Pesticide residue testing capabilities will be very important to address the growing Türkiye’s agricultural export market.

This acquisition allows us to  expand our geographical presence to the West of Türkiye to always better serve our customers. One year after the inauguration of our brand new laboratory in Istanbul (the largest laboratory dedicated to food safety in the country), this acquisition is another important investment to continue our development in Türkiye.
