Nitrosamines alert continues in pharmaceutical products

In March, EMA has released an update on nitrosamine impurities in drugs, saying that the EU and national authorities are continuing to work to prevent and manage the presence of nitrosamine impurities in medicines.

Expertise, Capacity and Emergencies management
Mérieux NutriSciences has formed a task force and dedicated a pool of experts with the mission to assure the pharmaceutical products safety.
Thanks to the effort and continuous work of the task force, we are now developing an exclusive #multiresidual method for the simultaneous determination of 15 nitrosamine impurities:

MULTIRESIDUAL ANALYSIS (STANDARD SET)
N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA)
N-Nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA)
N-Nitrosomethylethylamine (NMEA)
N-nitrosoethylisopropylamine (NEIPA)
N-methyl-4-aminobutyric acid (NMBA)
N-nitrosodiphenylamine (NDPHA)
N-nitrosodi-n-propylamine (NDPA)
N-nitroso-diisopropylamine (NDIPA)
N-nitroso-di-n-butylamine (NDBA)
N-nitrosomethylaniline (NMA)
N-nitroso-di-ethanolamine (NDELA)

MULTIRESIDUAL ANALYSIS (ON DEMAND)
N-nitroso-piperidine (NPIP)
N-nitroso-pyrrolidine (NPYR)
N-nitroso-morpholine (NMOR)
mono-N-Nitrosopiperazine (MNPZ)
