Acknowledgements and authorizations

The compliance with the requirements of the reference standard ISO/IEC 17025, certified by a third party, is a total guarantee of both technical and managerial skills of analytical laboratories. Thanks to a mutual recognition agreement with the national accreditation bodies of more than 35 countries, the accreditation granted by ACCREDIA increases the international marketability of customers’ Test Reports.

The laboratory has an accreditation agreement with ACCREDIA which is renewed every four years. Based on such agreement, the laboratory can state that some tests are “accredited” (the updated official list of accredited tests of our laboratory can be consulted on www.accredia.it).
The accreditation of a test method by ACCREDIA ensures that it is is performed in accordance with the requirements of UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 and other prescriptive ACCREDIA documents, including the employment of qualified and competent staff, efficient and calibrated instruments, reagents and suitable materials, the maintenance of environmental conditions that do not affect test validity, the carrying out of a preliminary study of method performance in its application by the laboratory (through verification or validation if internal, and potential results if applicable), the carrying out regular external testing and continuous internal quality controls, all aimed at ensuring laboratory competence over time.
The Laboratory is authorized to use the trademark of ACCREDIA in the way it prescribes. For this reason, the trademark appears on Test Reports only if they contain at least one accredited test, while non-accredited tests are marked with an asterisk recalling the sentence “TEST NOT ACCREDITED BY ACCREDIA”.
The following prescription is envisaged by Accredia on the use of its trademark (Accredia RG-09): “… the trademark or reference to accreditation shall not be used by customers of accredited laboratories, nor can they be used in product documents, or be quoted on a product. A copy of the test report can be attached…”.
According to ACCREDIA rules, a Test Report that does not contain any credited results (by Mérieux NutriSciences, or by any subcontracted laboratory) shall not make any direct and/or indirect reference to the accreditation, the accrediting institution or anything else that could induce the customer to think that that such document is endorsed by ACCREDIA.
Finally, making reference to the accreditation of the test subcontracted to the laboratory that boasts it as included in its accreditation scope is admitted.
