You will be joining the market leader in the provision of an integrated program of laboratory services to a customer base which includes leading food processors and manufacturers, major food retailers, cosmetics and biotech industries.

Mérieux NutriSciences is represented in Australia through and our NATA accredited and TGA licensed laboratories in QLD, NSW, VIC and WA

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director and based in our Blackburn head office, you will be responsible for servicing and managing our Victorian existing clients with a strong focus in generating new business within your territory while providing the best service at all times in a professional manner.

You will be working within a completely autonomous capacity whereby you will manage your own day to day and plan your own call cycle.  Although you'll be mainly on the road, you will work amongst a very tightly knit team locally in our Melbourne head office and laboratory.
 

Located at Head Office in Blackburn , this position is responsible for providing admin support to the Technical Services team. Main tasks include MS Access database data entry and JDE data entry for KEY clients. In addition, this role is pivotal in all aspects of Technical Services invoice preparation, account creation and file maintenance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining client data in the specified database
  • Processing invoices and credits
  • Managing & enhancing the reporting requirements around, but not restricted to, revenue accruals, time reports and various database extracts
  • Physical and electronic filing and product file maintenance
  • Following work instructions for client account creation and invoicing to ensure that invoices are accurate and paid on time
  • Maintaining & Improving delivery of time sensitive documentation needs
  • Processing timesheets and required expense reports for corporate invoicing
  • General departmental administration duties such as management of courier/postage, purchasing using purchase orders, stationery orders and other ad-hoc needs as required

Ideally you will have:

  • Relevant office administration qualifications and a good understanding of office administration and accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of personal computers is necessary, especially Access.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Understanding of electronic and hard-copy filing systems.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards or other ERP Systems (desirable)

An exciting new opportunity has become available to join our team for a Technical Sales Coordinator (TSCO).

The primary focus of this position is to provide inbound and outbound sales support for our national customers. Successful people in this role will have a technical understanding of lab testing and their applications, are motivated by sales and have a natural talent for customer service.

This is an ideal career opportunity for scientific Bachelor graduate with some customer service experience.

THE ROLE:

Reporting directly to the Sales and Marketing Director, you will be the contact for our most valued clients nationally.

More specifically you will:

  • Provide both internal sales support to customers.
  •  Securing sales through inbound and outbound calls quote follow-up and query qualifications.
  • Manage allocated customer relationships.
  • Data entry of quotations.
  • Regularly maintain our CRM system.
  • Create proposals, offer technical solutions and assist Business Development Managers with business opportunities.
  • Work with other business units across the business to leverage opportunities.
  • Collate information and provide advice on market opportunities, pricing and perceptions to feedback to the team.

Our Blackburn laboratory is currently seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic results driven Microbiology technicians.
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will apply your technical knowledge and expertise to facilitate analytical procedures with a focus on quality and process improvements.
In this role, you will be required to work within our established Quality Systems. 

Duties include, and are not limited to:

  • Conducting a wide range of routine and specialised tests where atypical samples may be involved and instrumentation has a wide range of operating variables.
  • Communicating sample requirements to other personnel.
  • Managing several tests/ tasks at once and coordinating with other people.
  • Planning your own daily work schedule requiring prioritising competing demands.
  • Adapting your skills and experience to new situations.
  • Managing contingencies.
  • Working autonomously, and taking an active role in innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding and acting on relevant systems and procedures appropriately.
  • Providing accurate and timely information to internal and external stakeholders.

About you

To be successful in this role you must be a self-starter with at some experience in Procurement / Purchasing and looking for launch a career with a global company.

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel – Intermediate to Advanced skills 
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good time management and organizational skills 
  • The ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal

About you
In addition to recognised qualifications in Microbiology or equivalent scientific discipline, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent organisational skills, flexibility, proven ability to work as part of a team and attention to detail.
  • Quality-focused with good communication skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • At least 12 months experience in a Senior Microbiology Position within an Analytical Laboratory environment.
  • Knowledge of NATA and TGA requirements, as well as working to GLP and GMP standards.
  • NATA Signatory status experience highly desirable.
  • Experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) would be an advantage.

This is a busy and challenging role that will suit well organised individuals with excellent technical and communication skills. You will be working a Sunday to Thursday roster, with supervision responsibility on Sundays.

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will apply your technical knowledge and expertise in order to facilitate analysis procedures with a focus on quality and process improvements.

In this role, you will be required to work within our established Quality Systems – other duties include, and are not limited to:

  • Use appropriate PPE to maintain safe working environment.
  • Use basic equipment's such as autoclaves, pipettes, dispensers and  balances in preparation of media and samples for microbiological analysis.
  • Perform basic testing to detect pathogens in food & water  and other analysis tests on samples in accordance with the test method.
  • General housekeeping and maintenance of laboratory and media supplies, including stock rotation.
  • Carry out quality control tests including handling of process control samples, QC of media and interpreting data.
  • Calibration of equipments.
  • Accurate login and receipt of samples & media supplies in the laboratory LIMS system.

About you

In addition to recognised qualifications in Microbiology or equivalent Scientific discipline, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent organisational skills, flexibility, proven ability to work as part of a team and attention to detail.
