Silliker Brand Evolution

The growth of an international leader in food safety, quality and nutrition

Silliker was founded in 1967 by Dr. John Silliker, who then partnered with Dr. Damien Gabis and Dr. Russell Flowers, expanding the company globally and in the 1990s, we began our association with Institut Mérieux  – the original research lab of Louis Pasteur.


From 1999 to the present, Silliker capabilities expanded from 12 labs in 3 countries to over 45 labs in 18 countries with the creation of Mérieux NutriSciences Corporation in January 2011 to include Silliker as one of three complementary service companies:
  - Silliker: Food safety, quality and nutrition
  - Biofortis: A contract research organization dedicated to innovation in nutrition
  - Bioagri: Leading research laboratory in Latin America for environmental, pharmaceutical, chemistry analysis and food technology


Today, Silliker continues to expand their scope of technical services to substantiate food industry safety, quality and nutrition programs.


As part of Mérieux NutriSciences, Silliker has expanded its services globally throughout North, Latin and South America, Europe, and Asia Pacific with our most recent growth occurring in India. We continue to rapidly expand our services and locations to better serve our growing list of clients.
