Chicago, IL, April 17, 2012 – The Silliker Sensory Evaluation and Physical Testing Laboratory in Bentonville, AR, recently celebrated its relocation to a new state-of-the-art facility with a special grand opening for local area companies. For over a decade, the laboratory has a leading provider of descriptive analysis and consumer research studies employing current methodologies, trained panelists, test controls and statistical interpretation.
Conveniently located at 3106 SE C Street, the highly accessible facility features a reception area, soundproof booths with sliding door pass-throughs, positive air-flow, sample storage and preparation areas, and panelist training room. A dedicated laboratory for physical testing is also housed in the 11,800 square-foot building.
“The Silliker Sensory Evaluation Laboratory is designed to provide our industry partners with validated data and statistical analysis to support their product development, R&D, sales and marketing teams,” said Johannes Burlin, President of Silliker North America. “We possess an extensive consumer database, serve all major food industries, and supply our customers with continuous information from initial project design to final sensory reports.”
Under Laboratory Director Chris Wall, the evaluation laboratory subscribes to ISO guidelines for sensory analysis. Physical testing services available at the Bentonville facility include extraneous matter, titratable acidity, syneresis, granulation, color (Hunter l*a*b* and lab), viscosity (Bostwick and Brookfield), moisture, counts, pH and package evaluation.
