Institut Mérieux has a comprehensive approach from prevention to therapy through diagnosis.  Its three companies - bioMérieux, Transgène, Mérieux NutriSciences - have made major advances in the fight against infectious diseases and cancers, as well as in the field of nutrition and food safety. Created in 1897, Institut Mérieux employs 11,000 people worldwide, has an international presence in 150 countries and a direct presence in 40 countries through 20 manufacturing sites and 16 R&D sites.
